Meet the Owner
My name is Jalesia Brown, founder of Variety in Purpose (VIP),
a creative consulting and design studio built on the belief that everything we do should have meaning and impact. With years of experience in event and project management, marketing, and community engagement, I bring both strategy and creativity to every project I take on. From crafting custom designs and social media content to coordinating purposeful events and community initiatives, my goal is to help people and organizations bring their visions to life with care, creativity, and purpose.
Variety in Purpose was inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of the Anderson family, whose creativity and drive have long shaped communities across Los Angeles. My mother, Lesia, owned and operated VIP Music, a business that brought people together through sound and culture. Following in her footsteps, my uncles were the proud owners and founders of the historic VIP Records, a cultural legacy that influenced music, art, and opportunity for generations. Variety in Purpose carries that same spirit forward blending creativity, community, and purpose in everything we do.
